Registration and Recording Resources
The American Colored Angora Goat Registry (ACAGR) is not an association or club but simply a
Registry.  Registrations from The American Angora Goat Breeders Association (AAGBA), The
Colored Angora Goat Record (CAGR) or The International Colored Angora Goat Registry (ICAGR)
are accepted by ACAGR.

If your goats are already registered in one of these recognized registries it is not necessary to
re-register them with ACAGR.  Offspring from a dam and sire that are registered in one of the
recognized registries may be directly registered in ACAGR by simply including a copy of the dam
and sires' registration papers with the application and fees.  It is ACAGR's  position that goats may
be registered in more than one registry if desired by the owner.
How to Register your Colored Angora Goat:
If the Sire and Dam of the goat you wish to register are already registered:

1) Complete the Application For Registration form that is available on the Forms page of this
website.

2) Complete as much of the pedigree information on the application as possible.  To make the
application process easier, copies of pedigree information from other sources is acceptable.
Simply attach copies to the application.  Because this is a growing registry, we are building a
pedigree data base and need your information for input.  The pedigree information included on
your new registration certificate is dependent on the information that you submit with your
application.  Keep copies of applications, etc., that you send to us as only your new registration
certificate will be returned to you.  Our function is to recognize that your goat has met
the
American Colored Angora Goat Registry Breed Standard.
How to Record your Colored Angora Goat:
Recorded Colored Angora Goats are those with one or both parents that are not registered with any registry
and have not been proven to meet the American Colored Angora Goat Registry breed
standard. Additionally, recordation is a method we use to capture the linage of a goat that may
or may not meet the ACAGR breed standard.  No inspection or pedigree is required to record a
Colored Angora Goat.  The Certificate of Recordation that you will receive will contain the same
pedigree information that would be on a registration.  The Breed Standard is shown on the Breed
Standard  page in this website.  Recording or recordation is for the breeder that would like to
have a record to preserve the bloodline history for tracking and pedigree purposes and to meet
show entry requirements when necessary.  Recorded goats may be inspected and registered
at a later time if desired.

If one or both of the Sire and Dam of the goat you wish to register are unregistered:

1) Complete the Recordation Application form that is available on the Forms and Fees page of
this website.

2) Complete as much of the pedigree information on the application as possible.  To make the
application process easier, copies of pedigree information from other sources is acceptable.
If the Sire and Dam of the goat you wish to register are not registered:

To register a goat, whose sire and dam are not registered, you can have it inspected for
registration in ACAGR.  Information regarding inspections can be found on the Inspection page
of this website.
